Off-colour, dull skin: three multi-functional peels
Peels, which are suitable for both men and women, are available in Doctor Miralles’ clinic to treat a dull complexion, pigmentation marks, dilated pores and lifeless skin. Each with an original formulation containing specific actives, they can be tailored to suit each person’s skin texture and colour.
– SRT peel. Made up of TCA (trichloroacetic acid), salicylic acid and resorcinol, it has a low concentration and is suitable for younger, oily skin with skin flaws, as well as black and Asian skin.
– Jessner peel. Made up of three active ingredients – lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol – it is recommended for treating acne spots and rosacea. It is also suitable for dark and black skin.
– TCA-Jessner peel. With trichloroacetic acid added to the Jessner peel formula. This peel is recommended for thick, crumpled skin as well as for smokers. It is great for lightening marks.
The procedure is the same for each peel: the skin is prepared with a cocktail of vitamins E (to fight free radicals), C (lightening effect) and exfoliating actives that eliminate the dead skin cells. The peel is applied and works in under five minutes. It is then removed and a hydrating and soothing cream is applied.
They are visible from the first session. The skin looks healthier, toned and flawless. Then, two to three days after treatment, the skin starts to peel away, leaving behind a brand new epidermal layer.
During the treatment, you will feel a tingling sensation and your skin will feel hot. This is perfectly normal, because the product exfoliates the superficial layer of skin and causes it to shed. Some temporary redness, no downtime.
